The National Institute of Credit Administration, NICA has conferred its prestigious Fellowship on the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Polaris Bank, Kayode Lawal, alongside other prominent leaders in Nigeria’s financial and corporate sectors.
The investiture ceremony, held at the Muson Centre in Lagos, also honoured the Managing Director/CEO of Union Bank of Nigeria, Yetunde Oni, in recognition of her contributions to institutional governance and financial sector development.
Among other awardees were Olushola Momoh, Vice Chairman of Channels Television, who received a Professional Fellowship, and Awa Ibraheem, Founder of Xpress Payment Solutions Ltd, who was presented with an Honorary Fellowship for his impact on Nigeria’s payments ecosystem and financial innovation landscape.
The Fellowship is the Institute’s highest professional distinction, awarded to individuals whose leadership has strengthened Nigeria’s credit environment, governance frameworks, and financial system integrity.
Speaking at the ceremony, Institute representatives underscored the role of visionary leadership in promoting responsible credit culture and sustainable economic growth. They described Lawal as embodying professional excellence, integrity, and strategic leadership.
Responding, Lawal expressed appreciation for the recognition and reaffirmed his commitment to advancing professional standards across Nigeria’s banking and credit ecosystem.
The event drew senior executives, regulators, policymakers, and industry stakeholders, featuring formal investiture proceedings and goodwill messages celebrating excellence in credit administration and financial services.
