Mindfully with Tunmise Production, in collaboration with Blackhemages Media Concepts, is set to host the second edition of its men-focused mental health initiative, A Fight for Life 2.0.

The event is scheduled to take place on November 29, 2025, at Trident Suites, Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja.

Designed as a psychologically safe space, the programme aims to deepen conversations around men’s mental health, emotional wellbeing, and holistic development. The initiative stems from continuous discussions about the unique pressures men face, ranging from societal expectations to emotional and socioeconomic challenges.

Lead Creative at Blackhemages Media Concepts, Oluwatunmise Oladapo-Kuku, said the project highlights the internal and external struggles men grapple with daily, noting that men are often socialised to be providers and protectors without being equipped with the emotional tools necessary to navigate life’s complexities.

“When a man is whole and given permission to feel, he is better equipped to serve his ecosystem—his family, his work, his community, and even his faith,” she said. “Men’s mental health is not just about anxiety or depression; it is about aligning thoughts, emotions, and actions in a way that allows for stability and growth.”

Oladapo-Kuku explained that A Fight for Life explores issues such as social pressure, emotional repression, overworking, addiction, and relational struggles, symptoms that often arise when men are denied room to process their emotions.

She stressed that the project advocates for a society where men are seen as holistic beings capable of leadership, compassion, and emotional intelligence.

“Healing the head allows the body to thrive,” she noted. “When men are supported emotionally, socially, and financially, their partners and children benefit too. Men are nurturers in their own right, and society must create space for them to embrace that role.”

Through the initiative, Mindfully with Tunmise Production aims to raise awareness, inspire open dialogue, and equip men with practical tools to strengthen their mental and emotional wellbeing, ultimately fostering healthier families, communities, and social systems.
