LASU Announces Traffic, Parking Arrangements for 29th and 30th Convocation Ceremonies

Lagos State University, LASU has announced traffic control and parking arrangements for Tuesday, August 18, 2026, to ensure smooth and safe movement of persons and vehicles during its 29th and 30th Combined Convocation Ceremonies.

The School of Transport and Logistics advised staff who wish to park at their faculties or offices to arrive on campus before 8:00 a.m., as vehicular movement will be restricted thereafter.

From 8:00 a.m., access into the university will be through the Hostel Gate and Badagry Gate to designated points only, with no access beyond AJ and the 3-in-1 Junctions.

Vehicles entering through the Badagry Gate are to park at the former banking area close to the Main Gate and the current banking area, while those entering through the Hostel Gate are to use the Hostel areas, CCECC sites and the New FMS grounds.

The designated drop-off point for visitors is the ACEITSE. Vehicles leaving the campus after dropping off visitors will exit only through the IBA Gate.

The university also stated that cart pushers and shuttle services would be available at designated points to assist with the movement of luggage and other cargo, advising members of the university community and visitors to expect increased walking and plan accordingly.

It warned that parking on pedestrian walkways is strictly prohibited, regardless of status or position. Vehicles found parked on pedestrian walkways will be towed to the Works and Physical Planning Department and released only upon payment of a ₦50,000 fine.

The university urged the community and the general public to comply with the arrangements and cooperate with security and traffic personnel to ensure free flow of traffic and the smooth conduct of the convocation ceremonies.
