Senior Special Assistant to the Lagos State Governor on Housing, ESV Ayodeji Amodu has advocated an efficient public private partnership model towards making affordable housing a basic need for every citizen of the State.

Speaking with Blacktalker at the recent 4th Lagos Real Estate Market Place Conference and Exhibitions, ESV Amodu noted that the state government through the Social Housing Project is looking to gain support from indigenous and international blue chip companies as a way of Social Responsibility to solve the Housing Deficit.

“We are looking to increase the housing stock productivity for Lagosians, through social housing project.

“To simplify and create the ease of doing business and give access to government services that would give assurance to the private sector to facilitates the social housing model using the P.P.P”,  he said.

The SSA said the Project also seems to empower  youths within Lagos by creating employment and job opportunities for skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled labour as a way of wealth creation and self expertise.

” When we empower the youth populace, we are not only creating jobs, but also strengthen social security and peace of mind in the society by fostering community building and love within the cosmopolitan Lagos.

According to the Estate Surveyor, “With the Social Housing Project, we will be creating a more enabling environment for partnership between Lagos State Government, the 57 Local Government and LCDA’s, the organized private, public sector and stakeholders for business to thrive.
