Hon. Ege Olusegun Adebisi, a distinguished member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Ojo Constituency 01, has joined the newly elected First Female Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. (Mrs) Mojisola Meranda, along with other honourable members, on a courtesy visit to the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) at Lagos House, Marina.

The purpose of the meeting was to seek the blessings and support of the GAC leadership for the success of the 10th Assembly.

This meeting took place a day after the Speaker’s historic swearing-in, further highlighting Hon. Ege’s commitment to working hand-in-hand with the Assembly leadership to promote accountability, transparency, and good governance in Lagos State. As a humble and dedicated representative, he has pledged his full support to the Speaker, reinforcing his vision of serving the people of Ojo Constituency 01 with integrity and passion.

Hon. Ege’s track record of impactful representation is glaring for all to see and it further demonstrates his unwavering dedication to the progress of his constituents and Lagos State as a whole.

Some of his notable accomplishments include:

Massive Employment Facilitation: Hon. Ege has facilitated numerous job opportunities for his constituents within various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) in Lagos State, reducing unemployment and enhancing livelihoods.

Egeducation Programme: Through his initiative, Egeducation, he has provided free education to constituents from primary to university levels, giving them access to quality learning opportunities.

Empowerment for Widows and the Elderly: Hon. Ege has consistently implemented empowerment programmes to support widows, widowers, and the elderly, ensuring they receive the care and resources needed to live dignified lives.

Youth Development Programs: A strong advocate for youth empowerment, Hon. Ege has actively participated in youth-led initiatives in his constituency, contributing significantly to their development and growth. His youthful and progressive mindset has earned him the respect of the younger generation.

Respect for Culture and Religion: Hon. Ege is deeply rooted in cultural and religious values. He embraces all faiths and fosters unity among diverse groups in his constituency.

Support for Apprentices: To support entrepreneurship and small businesses, Hon. Ege provides tools, equipment, and financial support to apprentices, helping them grow their trades and businesses.

Housing Initiatives: As the former Chairman of the Committee on Housing, he played a vital role in overseeing the allocation of Lagos State Low-Cost Housing Estates and resolving disputes within these estates.

Others are Facilitation of Transformer to Ijagemo, an area in Ojo Constituency 01, and Sponsorship of Youth in the Master programme in the Lagos State University, LASU.

Hon. Ege Olusegun Adebisi, fondly referred to as Oko Opo for his compassion toward widows and the less privileged, has received accolades from various stakeholders, including former and current representatives, political leaders, royal fathers, market leaders, religious leaders, students, and youth organizations.

Born into a family of service and leadership, Hon. Ege is the son of the late High Chief Richard Afolabi Ege, a respected political figure in Ojo Local Government and the Badagry Division of Lagos State. Hon. Ege’s dedication to public service has made him a symbol of hope and transformation in his constituency, earning him the title of Game Changer.
