FirstBank Powers Mainland Laffs 3.0, Ignites Lagos Mainland Entertainment Scene

The Balmoral Convention Centre at the Sheraton, Ikeja, came alive on Sunday, December 7, 2025, as Mainland Laffs 3.0, the highly anticipated Legends Decemba event, unfolded in spectacular fashion.

Sponsored by FirstBank Nigeria Limited, the event transformed the venue into the epicenter of Lagos Mainland’s entertainment scene, combining comedy, music, dance, and drama to deliver a memorable celebration for residents and visitors alike.

Guests were welcomed by a glamorous red carpet, vibrant branded displays, and sponsor installations that set the tone for an evening of fun, laughter, and artistic brilliance.

The entertainment lineup featured Nigeria’s comedy royalty, including Ali Baba, whose signature humor and wisdom delighted attendees, Kenny Blaq with his innovative musical comedy, and Phronesis, who kept the audience laughing with sharp-witted punchlines.

The charismatic MC Husband Material (Eze Chuwudi) guided the evening with energy and finesse, while other comedic talents such as MC Bishop, Dr. Smile, MC Trick, Abadei, and 16 Onirun added layers of entertainment that kept the laughter rolling throughout the night.

The event went beyond comedy, celebrating diverse artistic expressions. Gospel rapper Protech opened with a high-energy performance, CJ the Violinist mesmerized with soulful melodies, and Mauren’s Art delivered a captivating dance performance.

Additional performances from Oba Richie, Angelo, Switch, and Ozzy transformed the venue into a lively concert hall, energizing the crowd with infectious rhythms.

The grand finale saw the legendary Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, take the stage, delivering a show-stopping performance that bridged nostalgia with contemporary hits. Fans sang along to classics and newer tracks alike, as 2Baba’s charisma and stage presence reaffirmed his iconic status in the Nigerian music industry.

A vibrant vendor village added to the festive atmosphere, featuring local cuisine, refreshing drinks, fashion, and accessories, while the venue’s professional lighting, LED screens, and sound systems ensured every performance was enjoyed to the fullest.

The event was made possible through the support of FirstBank Nigeria Limited as part of its annual DecemberIssaVybe initiative, alongside backing from the Lagos State Government and the Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA). Representatives of FirstBank noted that the event celebrated community talent and vibrancy, creating a “DecembaIssaVybe” experience for Lagosians.
