Fidelity Bank Forum to Explore SME Growth, Governance in Abuja

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Federal Capital Territory will have an opportunity to explore strategies for sustainable growth, improved governance and business expansion at a forum organised by Fidelity Bank Plc on Wednesday, October 28.

The event, scheduled to hold at Barcelona Hotel, No. 23 Blantyre Street, Wuse 2, Abuja, will bring together entrepreneurs, business owners, industry experts and other stakeholders to discuss ways of building resilient and competitive businesses.

The forum, themed “Building Sustainable Businesses, Unlocking Growth, Governance and Opportunity in the FCT,” will conclude the bank’s 2026 Quarterly Business Forum series.

Speaking ahead of the event, Fidelity Bank’s Divisional Head of SME Banking, Mrs Ugochi Osinigwe, said sustainable business growth depends on access to finance, sound governance, relevant business knowledge and strong professional networks.

“At Fidelity Bank, we recognise that sustainable business growth requires a combination of access to finance, sound governance, relevant business knowledge and the ability to identify and maximise emerging opportunities,” she said.

Osinigwe said the forum was designed to provide business owners with practical insights, strengthen their capabilities and connect them with opportunities to support long-term growth.

She added that the Abuja edition would examine how businesses could adapt to changing market conditions, improve operational efficiency and position themselves for expansion.

The forum is expected to provide participants with an opportunity to engage with business stakeholders and explore approaches to improving competitiveness and resilience.
