The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, Tijani Fatai, has visited the ongoing 2025 Police Constable Recruitment Screening Centre at the Police College Ikeja to assess the exercise and ensure adherence to established guidelines.
The screening exercise, which began on March 9, 2026, is being conducted at the Ikeja facility in line with stipulated procedures for the recruitment of constables into the Nigeria Police Force.
During the visit, the Commissioner interacted with representatives of the Police Service Commission, Federal Character Commission, and the Police Community Relations Committee, Lagos State Command, who are monitoring the exercise to ensure transparency, fairness, and credibility.
Fatai noted that the recruitment process aligns with the vision of the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, to promote a merit-based and transparent system within the force.
He expressed satisfaction with the level of organisation at the screening centre, commending officials and partner agencies for their professionalism and commitment to due process.
The Commissioner also urged applicants who are yet to participate in the screening to do so before the closing date of April 18, 2026, warning that failure to appear within the stipulated timeframe could result in disqualification.
He further reassured the public of the Command’s commitment to maintaining transparency and fairness throughout the recruitment process.
