…..As APWEN Lagos Celebrates STEM Jewels on Children’s Day.


The Chairman Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria, APWEN, Lagos Chapter, Hon. Atinuke Wuraola Owolabi  has extended heartfelt felicitation to all children especially the STEM Jewels across the nation in celebration of this year Children’s Day ,noting that the young generation holds the key to a more advanced and equitable society.



Hon Wuraola in a congratulatory message stated that every May 27th is a special day set aside to honor children,who are leaders of tomorrow, while urging the young generation to uphold the virtues of good behaviour and discipline.

She said: ”The Association of Professional women Engineers of Nigeria (APWENLagos) celebrates all our STEM JEWELS. Today, we celebrate the bright young minds that will shape the future of our world.

As aspiring engineers and innovators, you hold the keys to a more advanced and equitable society. Embrace your curiosity, nurture your talents, and never stop dreaming. APWENLagos stands with you, supporting your journey every step of the way.”she stated.



She also appealed to the young generation to play their parts by shunning social vices, working hard and exhibiting good morals, stating that every Nigerian children and youths can become truly great if they embrace reading with the same zest being used to explore new technologies such as video games and social media.

Speaking on the theme: “Advocate for Children: Advocate for Policies and Actions that Protect and Support Children’s Well-Being”, she called on government agencies, individuals and NGOs to come up with programmes that will bring out the best in them as children deserve free and compulsory education towards fully realizing their potential, noting that in APWEN, talents and ideas are being discovered daily.
