President and Chief Executive Officer of Greenbirch Technology Limited, Ambassador Lorenzo Onwukwem, has joined national and international dignitaries at the 68th birthday celebration of former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
The event brought together political leaders, diplomats, business executives, and civil society representatives, who gathered to honour the former Nigerian leader and reflect on his contributions to democratic governance and peacebuilding in Nigeria and across Africa.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Onwukwem described Dr. Jonathan as a statesman whose leadership style and post-presidential engagements continue to promote dialogue, unity, and credible democratic processes.
He said the former president’s conduct in office and his role in peace and election-related initiatives across the continent have earned him global respect.
Ambassador Onwukwem also highlighted the need for stronger collaboration among the government, the private sector, and civil society, noting that innovation, responsible leadership, and stability are essential for sustainable development, youth empowerment, and inclusive economic growth.
The ceremony featured goodwill messages from several dignitaries, who praised Dr. Jonathan’s commitment to service, integrity, and national cohesion.
Dr. Jonathan, who served as Nigeria’s president from 2010 to 2015, remains active in international peace and democracy advocacy, particularly through conflict resolution efforts and election observation missions across Africa.
