The Lagos State Security Trust Fund, LSSTF has donated 100 anti-riot kits and 1,000 pairs of operational boots to the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency, LNSA as part of efforts to enhance community-based security across the state.
The equipment was presented on behalf of the LSSTF Executive Secretary/CEO, Ayodele Ogunsan, by the Director of Administration, Adegbola Lewis, to the General Manager of LNSA, Ifalade Oyekan, at the agency’s headquarters in Oshodi.
The donation is aimed at boosting operational capacity at the grassroots level, where the LNSA plays a complementary role to formal law enforcement agencies through intelligence gathering, routine patrols, and community policing initiatives across Lagos.
Officials noted that the provision of modern security gear will enhance the effectiveness of neighbourhood operatives in maintaining law and order, detecting suspicious activities, and improving overall safety awareness within communities.
The intervention is also expected to strengthen collaboration between local communities and security agencies, reinforcing Lagos State’s broader strategy of integrating grassroots intelligence with formal policing structures.
The LSSTF reiterated its commitment to supporting security agencies with critical resources needed to sustain peace and improve public safety across the state.
