The community leaders of Ikenga community in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra state have applauded the infrastructure drive of Governor Charles Soludo, with the completion of the 10.95 kilometres road that connects the Igboukwu, Ikenga, Ekwulobia, and Ezinifite communities.
This is a reflection of Governor Soludo’s ongoing economic and infrastructure transformation of Anambra which spans through key sectors of the state’s economy, and as contained in his 2025 budget.
The leaders praised Soludo’s quest to facilitate the easy movement of goods within the various communities in the local government area and to ensure the free flow of economic activities for a better standard of living.
According to Izuchuckwu Uzor, “Governor Soludo’s solution has come to our community, and this will bring huge transformation to the entire Aguata Local Government”. He commended the governor for his visionary leadership.
The Ikenga community since its creation had no tarred road, and Soludo in the spirit of the APGA political party, compassion, and selfless leadership, has provided them with their first-ever constructed road.
In the area of road infrastructure, Soludo affirmed that existing projects will be completed while new ones are being initiated, with approximately 310 kilometers already asphalted in 30 months, and with unparalleled quality.
The Ekwulobia flyover and bus terminal are nearing completion. The dualisation of the 34-kilometre federal highway from Amawbia through Agulu, Ekwulobia, and Uga to the Imo State border, as well as the dualisation of 36 kilometres from Nwagu Agulu-Nnobi- Nnewi, Ozubulu to Okija, linking to the Onitsha-Owerri highway, is a game changer.
The Soludo administration has been embarking on strategic road construction in Anambra to increase connectivity between communities and the 21 Local Government Areas of the state.
