The Feed Industry Practitioners Association of Nigeria, FIPAN, has elected Dr. Ayoola Oduntan as its new President, marking a pivotal shift in leadership for the organization.
This election underscores FIPAN’s ongoing dedication to advancing Nigeria’s feed industry, a vital component of the nation’s agricultural sector.
Dr. Oduntan, the Group Managing Director of Amo Farm Sieberer Hatchery Limited, Amo Byng Nigeria Limited, natnudO Foods, Diversey Solutions Limited, and DSL Pharma, brings extensive experience to his new role.
His previous leadership as the National President of the Poultry Association of Nigeria (PAN) highlights his long-term commitment to enhancing Nigeria’s agricultural landscape.
Expressing gratitude for the association’s trust, Dr. Oduntan outlined his strategic vision for FIPAN. “The future of our industry depends on our ability to work together, innovate, and create a more resilient and efficient feed production ecosystem,” he said.
His agenda includes fostering collaboration across the sector, particularly with key agricultural bodies such as the Maize Association of Nigeria, MAAN, and the Nigeria Soybean Association. These alliances aim to improve stakeholder networks, streamline supply chains, and address raw material sourcing challenges.
FIPAN represents various stakeholders in the animal feed sector, from feed millers and raw material producers to distributors and equipment suppliers. With the industry generating an estimated $2 to $3 billion annually, FIPAN plays a crucial role in advocating for industry standards, supporting members, and contributing to Nigeria’s agricultural and economic development.
Under his leadership, FIPAN aims to build upon the achievements of his predecessor, Mr. Raymond Isiadinso, who advanced the association’s advocacy and member engagement.
Dr. Oduntan is poised to address current industry challenges, including raw material sourcing and regulatory alignment, ensuring FIPAN continues to enhance production quality and promote sustainable practices across the feed industry.
