2024 UTME: LASUIS STUDENTS SHINE AS SCHOOL’S CANDIDATES SCORE 200,  ABOVE

VC expresses excitement over sustained excellent performance

    Students of the Lagos State University International School, LASUIS, have again justified the excellent quality of teaching and learning the school offers as they shone brightly in this year’s Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, United Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, which result was recently released by the body.

    Of the results of 40 students of the School that have been released by the examination body, 40 of them scored 200 marks and above out of 400 marks, which translates to 100 percent pass rate.

    Three (3) of the students also achieved distinctions scoring 300 plus marks, the highest being 341 marks.

    The development was, earlier on Monday, 6th May 2024, shared by the Chairman, LASUIS Board, Prof. Ayodeji Badejo, when she led a delegation of the School on a visit to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, at her office on the 6th floor of Babatunde Raji Fashola Senate Building, main campus, Ojo.

    During the visit, Prof. Badejo presented the School’s Year Book and JAMB results to the Vice Chancellor while appreciating her for giving her total support to the School.

    Prof. Badejo said, “We appreciate you for being so supportive, and that has impacted on the success we are recording. Thank you for always being there, ma.”

    Prof. Olatunji-Bello, in her response, expressed pride at the feats being recorded by the School, especially with regard to the students’ JAMB results. In the words of the VC, “These results are evidence of the quality education you are providing the students. I am happy with the Board and the School management and staff. You are all doing well. Well done.”

    She went on to assure the delegation of the commitment of her administration to the continued support for the School towards greater achievements.

    Other members of the delegation were Prof. Jide Gbenu, a member of the Board, and Mr Taiwo Odumbo, principal of the School.
