Fearless Spotlights Emerging Musicians at Felabration 2026 Finale

Emerging Nigerian musicians gained a platform to showcase their talent at Felabration 2026, as Fearless Energy Drink used rap and dance challenges to spotlight young performers during the festival’s grand finale at the New Afrika Shrine.

The brand, owned by Rite Foods Limited, rewarded outstanding participants with prizes as part of its activities at the week-long festival, which celebrated the life and legacy of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Anikulapo-Kuti under the theme, “Who Are You?”

The finale featured performances by emerging artistes, including Emgray, Wonka, Kacy, 62d9, General Allen, Tademonaco, Ziggy Machala, Fome Green and Blacksnow, who performed across rap, hip-hop and Afrobeats.

Established performers also entertained the audience, with Fela’s eldest son, Femi Kuti, delivering a live performance, while Kcee performed alongside traditional masquerades.

Small Doctor, Teni the Entertainer, Sean Tizzle, L.A.X, Barry Jhay and Danny S. were among the other artistes featured.

The festival’s activities had gathered momentum on Saturday, October 17, with performances by Daddy Showkey, Peruzzi, L.A.X, Barry Jhay and Hotkeed.

A cultural fashion showcase by AO Afriq at Freedom Park also highlighted African creativity and contemporary cultural expression.

Fearless Energy Drink’s participation centred on its “I CAN, I AM” philosophy, which the brand said promotes individuality, confidence and creative expression.

Its stand also provided a meeting point for guests and performing artistes to engage with the brand and experience its products.

Speaking on the participation, the brand’s manager at Rite Foods Limited, Olaniyi Aderuku, said Felabration offered an opportunity to connect the brand with a cultural movement rooted in originality, courage and self-expression.

He said the festival’s celebration of Fela’s legacy aligned with the brand’s emphasis on embracing individuality, while its talent challenges provided young creatives with opportunities to perform before an audience.

Fearless was also the festival’s exclusive energy drink sponsor in 2025, when it ran its “Shakara, No Fear” campaign featuring talent challenges.

In 2021, the brand presented a posthumous award to Fela at the Afrika Shrine in recognition of his courage, originality and contribution to African music.

Through its continued association with Felabration, the brand is seeking to strengthen its engagement with music, youth culture and emerging creative talent.
