Students of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, FUNAAB are set to gain a platform for showcasing and developing their music and dance talents as Soundcity OnTour brings a three-day youth engagement programme to the institution.
The programme, running from October 7 to 9, 2026, is being supported by Bigi and Fearless Energy Drink, brands of Rite Foods Limited, and will feature music auditions, dance competitions, games and live entertainment.
A major attraction is the BIGI Music Competition, which will give aspiring student artistes an opportunity to compete for a ₦1 million campus prize and showcase their talents to a wider audience.
The Fearless Dance Competition will also provide student dancers with an avenue to demonstrate their creativity and originality.
The activities will build up to a grand concert on October 9, featuring live entertainment and other interactive experiences for students.
Brand Manager, BIGI, Biola Aransiola, said the initiative was aimed at creating opportunities for young Nigerians to express their creativity and gain exposure.
“Young Nigerians are full of talent, creativity and big dreams, and we want to create spaces where they can bring their creativity to life,” Aransiola said.
She said Soundcity OnTour enables the brands to engage directly with young people across campuses while providing platforms through which emerging talents can be seen and heard.
The FUNAAB activation is part of the 20-campus Soundcity OnTour 2026 programme, which expands on the platform’s debut across 10 institutions in 2023.
The tour has visited institutions including Pan-Atlantic University, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Yaba College of Technology, the University of Lagos, the University of Uyo, the University of Calabar, Obafemi Awolowo University, the University of Port Harcourt, Niger Delta University and Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
The programme combines music and talent discovery with interactive activities, giving students opportunities to compete, perform and engage with other participants.
