Rite Foods Earns Spot Among Nigeria’s Top 50 Companies of Impact 2026

Rite Foods Limited has been recognised among the Top 50 Nigerian Companies of Impact for 2026 at the Industry Newspaper Awards, in recognition of its contributions to Nigeria’s economic and social development.

The award recognises organisations making measurable impact through innovation, sustainability, job creation and community development. Rite Foods was specifically acknowledged for its investments in modern manufacturing infrastructure, technology, product innovation and sustainable business practices.

The company’s recognition also reflects its contributions to local value creation, employment, environmental sustainability and the growth of Nigeria’s fast-moving consumer goods sector.

Speaking on the recognition, Editor-in-Chief and Chief Executive Officer of Industry Newspaper, Goddie Ofose, said the award was designed to celebrate organisations whose activities demonstrate tangible economic, social and environmental value.

Ofose highlighted Rite Foods’ environmental initiatives, including its Waste-Is-Naira (W.I.N.) programme and Riteonthebeach project, which focus on plastic waste recovery and environmental awareness.

He also cited the company’s energy strategy as part of its sustainability efforts, noting that 95 per cent of Rite Foods’ energy consumption is derived from cleaner sources, including natural gas and solar power, while diesel accounts for about five per cent.

According to him, Rite Foods’ corporate social responsibility initiatives in education, healthcare and economic empowerment have also contributed to community development across Nigeria.

Commenting on the recognition, Head, Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at Rite Foods, Ekuma Eze, said the award reflected the company’s commitment to creating value beyond its commercial operations.

He said the company’s impact cuts across innovation, human capital development, community engagement, sustainability and support for initiatives that contribute to national development.

Eze added that innovation remained central to Rite Foods’ strategy, noting that investments in product development and manufacturing capabilities had enabled the company to respond to changing consumer needs while strengthening its position in Nigeria’s competitive FMCG sector.

“For us, innovation is not simply about introducing new products. It is about understanding consumers, investing in people and technology, improving our processes, and creating products and solutions that deliver value,” he said.

Over the years, Rite Foods has developed a portfolio of consumer brands, including Bigi Carbonated Soft Drinks, Bigi Premium Drinking Water, Sosa Fruit Drinks, Fearless Energy Drink, Rite Spicy Beef Sausage, Bigi Beef Sausage and Bigi Flex Sausage.

The company has continued to introduce new flavours and packaging solutions while focusing on quality and accessibility.

The latest recognition adds to the company’s growing list of awards for its performance, leadership, innovation and sustainability initiatives.

Rite Foods said the recognition reinforces its commitment to building a proudly Nigerian business with global standards while continuing to invest in innovation, sustainability, people, communities and the future of Nigeria’s consumer economy.
