10,000 Osun Youths Set to Rally for APC Candidate Oyebanji Ahead Governorship Election

Thousands of youths across Osun State are set to mobilise in support of the All Progressives Congress, APC governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebanji (AMBO), ahead the August 15 governorship election.

The mobilisation, tagged “City Praise Life,” is expected to attract no fewer than 10,000 participants from the state’s 30 local government areas in a roadshow aimed at promoting youth participation in the electoral process and rallying support for the APC candidate.

Speaking at a media briefing, spokesperson of the City Praise Movement, Taiwo Adegboyega, said the initiative, championed by Taiwo and Kehinde Adegboyega of Ileri-Oluwa, Iragbiji, seeks to unite young people behind what he described as Oyebamiji’s vision for economic growth, youth empowerment and grassroots development.

He described the APC candidate as an experienced administrator, citing his performance as Commissioner for Finance and his record in managing the state’s finances.

According to Adegboyega, Oyebamiji possesses the leadership qualities required to reposition Osun State through investment promotion, infrastructure development, job creation and improved social welfare.

“The time has come to restore purposeful governance in Osun. Our state deserves visionary leadership that will create opportunities for young people, attract investments, improve infrastructure and deliver dividends of democracy to every community,” he said.

The campaign roadshow will commence at the Osogbo Stadium Roundabout and move through major parts of the state capital, including Oke-Baale, Oke-Fia, Alekuwodo, Oja-Oba, Lameco, Dada Estate, Abere, Isale-Osun, Olorunsogo, Ring Road, Old Garage and Bata before returning to the stadium.

Organisers said the procession would feature music trucks, campaign vehicles, dance performances, traditional drummers and over 20 minibuses conveying supporters, while campaign volunteers would distribute promotional materials and engage residents along the route.

They noted that security personnel, medical teams and logistics officials had been mobilised to ensure a peaceful and orderly event.

The organisers said the planned mobilisation follows the success of the earlier AMBO/KAYODE 2026 City Praise Rally, which attracted thousands of residents, party supporters and community leaders across Osogbo.

They reaffirmed their commitment to promoting a campaign centred on inclusive governance, youth empowerment, job creation and sustainable development, expressing confidence that growing youth support would strengthen the APC candidate’s chances in the August 15 governorship election.
