The Ogun State Police Command has intensified public engagement as part of Day 3 of the 2026 Police Week, themed “Community Partnership: Building Trust.”
Led by the Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, psc, MNIPR, FCSS, officers of the Command carried out a comprehensive public sensitization campaign across all Area Commands and Divisions within the state.
He said the exercise aimed to educate citizens on the dangers of electoral malpractice, including electoral violence and ballot snatching, while promoting road safety awareness and adherence to traffic regulations.
CP Ojajuni reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to fostering trust and collaboration between the police and the community, noting that sustained public engagement is key to ensuring a safe, orderly, and secure environment for all residents of Ogun State.
In a gesture of goodwill, members of the public were treated to cooked meals, refreshing drinks, and souvenirs, an initiative that was warmly received and widely appreciated by participants.
