The Executive Secretary/CEO of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund, LSSTF, Dr. Ayo Ogunsan, has paid a courtesy visit to senior commanders of the Nigerian Air Force at the Air Force Base, Ikeja, to strengthen collaboration on round-the-clock drone surveillance across Lagos.
During the visit, Dr. Ogunsan met with the Air Officer Commanding, AVM Abubakar Abdul Suleh, and the Commander of 651 Base Services Group, Air Commodore Mohammed Asuekome Imam. He was accompanied by the Director of Administration, Mr. Degbola Lewis.
He noted that discussions focused on deploying modern aerial technology to enhance real-time security monitoring and improve rapid response capabilities throughout the state.
Ogunsan underscored the importance of adopting advanced drone systems as part of Lagos State’s broader security architecture.
On their part, the Air Force commanders reaffirmed their readiness to support the initiative, signaling stronger inter-agency collaboration toward safeguarding communities and critical infrastructure.
The development follows a recent meeting between Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and the Chief of the Air Staff, AVM Sunday Aneke, at Lagos House, Marina, where both parties reiterated their commitment to strengthening security cooperation in the interest of Lagos residents.
The proposed 24-hour drone-powered surveillance marks a significant step toward enhancing public safety and proactive crime prevention across the state.
