LASU Strengthens Campus Safety with Donation of Security Equipment from LSSTF

Lagos State University, LASU has strengthened its campus security infrastructure following a donation from the Lagos State Security Trust Fund, LSSTF on Wednesday, 11 February 2026.

The contribution included a brand-new patrol vehicle and 40 pairs of security boots aimed at enhancing the protection of lives and property on campus.

The items were formally received on behalf of the University by the Acting Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Abiodun Fatai-Abatan, alongside the Chief Security Coordinator, CSP Oluwole Ojo, and senior officers of the LASU Security Unit.

The presentation took place at the MRC Hall, Lagos State University College of Medicine (LASUCOM), Ikeja, during a security summit organised by the Lagos State Government through the Ministry of Tertiary Education.

Dr. Fatai-Abatan expressed gratitude to the Lagos State Government and LSSTF for the gesture, describing the donation as a significant boost to the University’s campus security and emergency response capacity.

The initiative highlights the joint commitment of the Lagos State Government and LSSTF to fortifying security across tertiary institutions, reinforcing LASU’s dedication to providing a safe, secure, and conducive learning environment for students, staff, and visitors.
