The Lagos State University Students’ Union, LASUSU, says the Free Shuttle service will start from Monday 25th, March 2024.
In a statement issued through the Office of Welfare Director, the shuttle service will be in two time range; Morning between 9:30am-11:30am and Afternoon between 1:30pm-2:30pm.
In a chat with Blacktalker, LASUSU Welfare Director, Apata Oluwasegun explained that on the said day, students can commute around the Ojo Campus using the shuttles at no cost, but must provide a valid identification card, which will verify them as Students of the University.
“It is compulsory for you to come with your ID ???? card or a temporary ID card online.”
Apata also said the initiative was a cardinal campaign point for him, which is aimed at helping students access school shuttles for free amid the current economic downturns being experienced by Nigerians.
The LASUSU Welfare Director said his Office is open to collaboration from corporate bodies and other stakeholders to ensure the initiative is further sustained for the benefit of all LASUITES.
Apata, who pledged to continue on the path of people-driven projects to ease the lives of students, added that FMS, Art and Buba Marwa Shuttle Parks are the designated locations for students to benefit from the free transport initiative.
