JMG Limited, through its industrial division, has completed the installation and commissioning of advanced air compressor systems at the Gboko plant of Dangote Cement Plc, enhancing operational efficiency and production stability.
Dangote Cement, a subsidiary of Dangote Industries Limited and Africa’s largest cement producer with a capacity of 52 million tonnes annually, operates across 10 African countries, making the Gboko facility a key part of its regional production network.
The upgrade followed a comprehensive system audit and airflow analysis conducted by JMG Industrial, which led to the installation of eight high-performance Kaeser rotary lobe blower units designed for continuous heavy-duty industrial use.
According to the company, the new configuration has improved airflow efficiency by approximately 23 per cent, with peak airflow capacity rising by nearly 47 per cent compared to the previous system. The improvements are expected to boost production stability, optimise energy consumption, and enhance overall operational reliability at the plant.
Commenting on the development, an engineer at the Gboko facility, Natu David, said the upgrade had delivered measurable results across production lines.
“The performance improvement we achieved with the new system has significantly enhanced airflow stability. We have seen clear gains in efficiency and reliability, and JMG Industrial demonstrated strong engineering capability from evaluation through commissioning,” he said.
