LASU VC CONGRATULATES MR. KAPPO SAMUEL ON APPOINTMENT AS SSA TO GOVERNOR SANWO-OLU

Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos, LASU, Prof. Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, has received with delight, news of the appointment of a member of staff of the University, Mr. Samuel Olawale Kappo, as the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu on Tertiary Education.

The governor announced Mr. Kappo’s appointment during an interaction with student representatives on Tuesday, 5th of March 2024.

Prof. Olatunji-Bello, on behalf of the entire University community, congratulates Mr. Kappo on his well-deserved appointment, while describing it as an eloquent recognition of his dedication, passion, and commitment to the betterment of students in tertiary institutions in the state.

She expresses utmost confidence in his ability to robustly discharge the duties of the office of the Senior Special Assistant, going by his antecedents as a student leader and public servant.

The VC also prays that God would grant him the wisdom to succeed and, in the process, pave the way for more young people to be equally elevated.

Mr. Kappo, a graduate of Computer Science, from the prestigious Lagos State University, was president of the Lagos State Students Union (LASUSU) in the 2016/2017 academic session and later served as the Southwest coordinator of the National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS) between 2019 and 2021

He currently works as a systems analyst at the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) of LASU.
