The Governing Council of the University of Lagos, UNILAG at its meeting presided over by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Chief Wole Olanipekun, CFR, SAN has approved the appointment of Mrs. Victoria Abosede Wickliffe as Registrar and Secretary to Council, and Dr. Olatokunbo Christopher Okiki as University Librarian.
Mrs. Wickliffe’s appointment is with effect from Saturday, February 1, 2025, while that of Dr. Okiki is with effect from Friday, March 14, 2025. Both appointments are for a period of five (5) years.
Their appointments followed the recommendations of the Selection Boards for the Appointment of a Substantive Registrar and University Librarian.
The University’s Governing Council, at its meeting on Thursday, December 5, 2024, had constituted the Selection Boards, pursuant to Section 7.1 of the University of Lagos Act, 1962 (as amended) in the Universities Miscellaneous Act 1993.
Reacting, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Folasade Ogunsola, OON, FAS, congratulated Mrs. Victoria Abosede Wickliffe and Dr. Olatokunbo Christopher Okiki, on behalf of Management, staff and students of the University, while wishing them a successful tenure.
