Rite Foods Limited has introduced LIDA Malt Classic into Nigeria’s competitive malt beverage market, expanding its locally manufactured drinks portfolio as the company seeks to respond to changing consumer preferences.
The non-alcoholic malt drink was unveiled to media representatives and content creators during an immersion programme at the company’s manufacturing facility in Ososa, Ogun State, on October 15, 2026.
Packaged in polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles, LIDA Malt is currently available in its Classic variant under the brand proposition, “LIDA Malt. Made for You.”
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company, Seleem Adegunwa, said the launch reflected Rite Foods’ drive to expand its portfolio with products that combine quality and consumer relevance.
He noted that the introduction of LIDA Malt showcases the company’s commitment to innovation and its drive to respond to evolving consumer expectations.
Speaking at the programme, Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at Rite Foods, Ekuma Eze, said the product was developed to complement everyday occasions, including meals, social gatherings and moments of refreshment.
While giving details on the product, Head of Marketing, Toyin Nnodi, said the brand was developed around consumers’ preferences and routines.
“LIDA Malt was developed with the consumer in mind. We understand that people want quality products that fit their preferences and everyday routines. With LIDA Malt Classic, we are introducing an offering built around that understanding,” she said.
Nnodi added that the “Made for You” proposition reflected the company’s commitment to keeping consumers at the centre of its product development.
The launch adds to Rite Foods’ beverage range, which includes Bigi Carbonated Soft Drinks, Bigi Premium Drinking Water, Sosa Fruit Drink and Fearless Energy Drink. The company also manufactures Rite Spicy Beef, Bigi Beef and Bigi Flex Sausages.
